History

This year we are studying American History.   I am surprised at how much I don't know about the subject.   I am so glad I get the chance to teach my kids and learn right along with them.   This year, we decided to go back to lapbooking for Science and History.   So far the kids are loving it.

We use A Journey Through Learning for a lot of our history topics.   We love using their express lapbooks.   Then we use brainpop and Houghton Mifflin social studies to round everything out.   I truly love doing history this way.   My kids absolutely love history and this makes it so fun.    They can research there topics and add as much or as little as they want to the topic.    They also remember more by doing it this way.

My daughter just adds the little booklets to one notebook.  Here are a few examples...

(not sure why this one is sideways...)

My son does his in the traditional lapbook way.

Take Care,

Cristince
