Co-op

Today we had co-op.   We have it twice a month.   I am so grateful for being introduced to this local group 4 years ago.   It has been such a blessing to join in with local homeschoolers.   All of us love that we get two times a month to go and hang out with other families and learn other things besides what we are learning at home.

Both of my children are in an Entrepreneur class this trimester.  The class was really great.   They all brainstormed and came up with a lunch store.   They made things to sell during lunch time.   Then at the end of this class for the trimester, they split up the money they made so everyone got an even share.   They also donated 10 percent of their earnings to a local homeschool family who recently lost their mom.  It was such a great class and I am so glad my 2 children got the chance to be involved.   They each brought home 12 dollars just from a few small lunch sales.    They were happy with the results.

Another class that my daughter has been taking is cake decorating.  I was the helper in this class.   It was so informative.  The teacher did a great job at teaching the children different techniques.   Here is a photo of the cake my daughter did today.   For a beginner,  I say it is a great start!

Did I mention, we love our co-op?   Well, it's true!   Even though, I come home tired and ready to sit and relax for the rest of the evening,  I wouldn't trade it for anything!  :)
