My husband can't take off much work now because he doesn't have much vacation time. So, they had 2 possibly 3 days of hunting this year. The first day was unsuccessful. They did not see one single deer. They saw a few hunters that said they saw some but they were very skittish. Ice was falling from the trees and causing the deer to be nervous already. So the first day was a bust.
So that all leads up to today. This was possibly the last day they had to hunt. He could take off one more day but he didn't have vacation to cover it, so he really didn't want to miss work. Anyway, they went to deer camp last night and were ready to get up early in the morning. I got a phone call at 7:18 am. It was my daughter. She was so excited. She finally got her deer! YAY! I am so proud of her. I am so thankful she finally got a chance to get a deer. She saw it at first light and killed it with her first shot. Here is the proud hunter doing the hard part.
blessings,
Cristince
